A select farmers market is coming to Michigan, but shoppers are going to have to go to the capitol city in order to go to this new market that is to be placed there in an effort to encourage Michigander to buy locally grown food items.
This new program was to be featured at the Eastern market in Detroit. Director Don Koivisto of The Michigan Department of Agriculture made a statement claiming that the event was to be featuring locally grown products.
There will be a free shuttle bus to the event, from downtown, where over forty vendors are expected to participate.
