Antscreation Interview

By Interviewer at 11/22/09 06:57

Name of your website?

Antscreation

Your name?

Anthea

Your Location (city, etc)

Stilbaai

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Come and have a look at my site. Handmade jewelry, painted cushion covers, Sun catchers, hand painted window display, charms – cell phone and purse and many other products.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I have, since school, been involved in making articles in the art & craft line and have also been painting since then.

i have over time, sold my articles at flea markets, and other outlets.

I feel it is time for me to approach a wider market as i have confidence in what I do after so many years.

One of my goals has always been and will always be, to supply good quality, unique and not overly expensive articles to everyone wishing to have them.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

About a month ago and its the one i am listing now

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Its a name that i have been using for years

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

Well cause i take pride in what i am doing, and its affordable. Its not mass produced and would like to allow other people to have what i sell in the small local shops in my area.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To be able to sell my products all over the world and to have happy clients.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Its still early to say as i have just started marketing and really putting all my time into it. So i am hoping to be rewarded.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

widen my range of products, cause i can do so many things and just do it full time and not part time like now

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

i am sure i would. even if it ment working full time just on that

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

not having the budget to advertise well enough and to be able to produce a wider range of products that i can do

What has been your biggest challenge?

designing my own site and getting it "out there"

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Not sure yet, as i am still trying all sorts of methods and waiting to see what the result is going to be

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Its been more time consuming, but i am not complaining, actually i love it

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

This site has been running just over a month. And if i could i would have it up for many years to come

What would i like to do in the future

To be able to work full time for myself so that i can support myself and my daughter

What is your website address?
